What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication".  An RSS feed (also known as an XML or news feed) is a listing of a Web site's content to which you subscribe using an RSS or news reader.  It is updated whenever new content is published to the site.

You can search for a downloadable RSS reader of your choice on the Web. Some commonly used RSS readers are Feed Demon, Sharp Reader, and NewsGator (a Microsoft Outlook plugin) for Windows, NetNewsWire, and Shrook for Macs, and Bloglines.com for those who like Web-based readers. You can find even more readers at itopik.com.

How do I subscribe to RSS feeds from IEEE Xplore?
RSS feeds are available for recently posted journal, transaction, and magazine issues.

  • Browse Journals and Magazines to view a publication's home page or go to Tables of Contents Alerts.
  • Select the RSS icon RSS to view the XML code in your browser.
  • Copy and paste the XML URL into your RSS reader, or to a browser that supports RSS feeds.

Each feed will contain the publication’s title and table of contents with a link to IEEE Xplore.
